2009 Heritage Track Club Time Trials
OFF TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!
This weekend Symone Evans and Jordan Diaz will be competing at the California State Championships in Clovis, CA. Symone will be competing in the girls TJ and Jordan in the 800 meters. Please look for updates to their progress to the finals on www.dyestatcal.com.
Symone Evans is completing a successful season as one of the top Jumpers, Hurdlers in the CCS and State. As the Most Outstanding Athlete of Leigh HS track and Field, Symone is excited about attending the State Meet for her first time. Symone made a great comeback after tearing her ACL and fracturing her foot. Symones best marks this season are 37’11 TJ, 14.66 100m hurdles, and 17.06 LJ.
Jordan Diaz will be attending the State Meet for her third time. As a Freshman and Sophomore, Jordan was a State Meet finalist in the 800 meters. This season Jordan was runner up at the CCS Championships and received her 2nd Indoor All American award. This season Jordan set a personal record in the 800 and breaking her previous school record running 2:11.18 at the National Scholastic Indoor Championships.
Scott Evans, Head Coach is looking forward to seeing these two Heritage Athletes compete amongst the best this weekend.
